About Us:
Gray’s Ice Cream is the longest operating ice cream shop in Rhode Island, serving homemade ice cream since 1923. We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Store Manager to help us deliver the same friendly service, quality product, and timeless experience our customers know and love.
Role Overview:
As the Store Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our flagship location in Tiverton Four Corners. You’ll lead a team of ice cream scoopers, manage scheduling and staffing, ensure operational excellence, and create a positive, welcoming environment for both employees and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of ice cream scoopers
- Hire, train, and coach staff to uphold Gray’s standards of customer service and quality
- Manage employee schedules and shift coverage
- Ensure that cleanliness, food safety, and overall store presentation meet company standards
- Maintain inventory levels and place orders as needed
- Handle customer service issues with professionalism and care
- Manage cash handling, daily deposits, and basic reporting
- Be a hands-on leader, scooping, serving, and supporting your team when needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in food service or retail management required
- Previous experience managing an ice cream or similar shop preferred
- Food Safety Manager Certification
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly, positive attitude and commitment to great customer service
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, peak summer hours, and holidays

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour with potential for generous performance-based bonuses
