Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Reporter role based in Nashville, TN. The Reporter will be responsible for researching, gathering, and delivering news content for television, digital platforms, and social media channels. Daily tasks include conducting interviews, writing and editing news stories, maintaining strong editorial judgment, and working collaboratively with producers, photographers, and editors to create compelling and accurate news stories. The role may require flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on news coverage needs.
Qualifications
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities for television and digital platforms
- Exceptional research and investigative skills to uncover and analyze information
- Proficiency in on-camera reporting, live reporting, and public speaking
- Basic knowledge of video shooting and newsroom technology
- Familiarity with digital platforms and social media content creation
- Commitment to maintaining accuracy, fairness, and ethical standards in news reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field
- Previous reporting experience is preferred; knowledge of the Nashville market is a plus
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
