WMBF News in beautiful Myrtle Beach, SC, has an immediate opening for a Meteorologist. The ideal candidate will have a professional image with a strong knowledge of meteorology and tropical weather. This candidate will take on the First Alert Brand and deliver it with precision in every forecast across all television, social media, and digital platforms. Effectively tell the weather story of the day, whether it be sunny or stormy, and understand that weather is the number one driver of local news. The candidate will also play a significant role in breaking weather coverage, including producing, organizing, and delivering long-form coverage of tropical storms and hurricanes, and provide live reports when necessary.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Weather duties as outlined by the Chief Meteorologist
- Assisting other shifts as needed
- Supporting the on-duty meteorologist
- Creating new and relevant content for all platforms and reports related to the weather story of the day
- Four-year college degree
- 2 years of newsroom experience preferred
- Working knowledge of WSI Max and Max Engage preferred
- Strong understanding of digital and social platforms
- Must be a team player
