Job Summary/Description:
KFDA in Amarillo, Texas, is looking for a Meteorologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will love the weather and be able to produce a dynamic, compelling forecast. This candidate will also be a critical part of our large storm chasing team and dominant weather brand.

Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Produce and present clear, accurate, and engaging forecasts for the Amarillo market.
- Handle multiple weather forecasting platforms, including broadcast and digital.
- Contribute content for digital platforms, including OTT, station website, Apps, and social media.
- Knowledge of WSI weather systems is helpful
- Some on-air experience, either professionally or in college.
- Certification and a meteorology or atmospheric sciences degree are preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work long hours/overtime, weekends, or evenings as needed for coverage.
