Job Summary

The Quality Technician tests and reports on the quality of products. They're involved in the entire course of manufacturing. It’s up to the Quality Technician to interpret the quality standards, engineering diagrams, and specifications for the products, then execute tests according to those instructions. If there is an issue, the Quality Technician compiles that data and reports tot eh engineering team.

In some cases, the Quality Technicians will also offer ideas for how to improve products after conducting quality testing. For this reason, the Quality Technician will need high-level interpersonal communication skills. A high level of attention to detail and organizational skills are also a crucial part of this role to compile data and track testing specifications.

Education and Background

This position requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Previous work experience is not required but preferred.

· Experience using mathematical concepts such as geometry, trigonometry, ratios, fractions, and proportions

· Ability to define problems verbally and in writing.

· Experience analyzing data and drawing valid conclusions from that data.

Job Expectations and Deliverables

Quality Technician’s will be required to do the following (but not limited to).

· Perform quality inspections for visual defects.

· Perform manual check inspections using Calipers, Micrometers, Pin/Thread Gauges, etc....

· Operate a CMM machine (Zeiss with Calypso software)

· Bubble new part drawings using InspectionXpert

· Create Inspection Sheets and FAI’s

· Assist in tracking scarp.

· Assist in generating ideas on ways to prevent reoccurring issues.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
