Role Description The Delivery Driver is a full-time, on-site role based in Sevierville, TN. This position is responsible for safely loading, transporting, and unloading cabinets, appliances, and bathroom fixtures to customer locations, job sites, and other Gray Hodges branches. The Delivery Driver will verify orders, inspect products for damage, obtain delivery confirmations, and maintain accurate delivery records. Day-to-day activities include operating company vehicles, following all safety and traffic regulations, assisting with warehouse organization, and providing courteous, professional service to customers and partners. The role may also involve basic product handling, occasional support for showroom or warehouse staff, and collaboration with team members to ensure timely, accurate deliveries.
Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service skills with the ability to interact professionally with contractors, trade professionals, and the general public.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely; experience in Forklift Operation preferred.
- Experience in Sales or retail environments and familiarity with home improvement or building materials is beneficial.
- Background in Training or mentoring team members and willingness to follow and promote safety and operational procedures.
- Experience in fast-paced environments such as Food & Beverage or similar industries, demonstrating reliability and time management.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to meet company driving requirements.
- Ability to lift, move, and carry heavy products and materials safely, and work on feet for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior delivery or warehouse experience is an asset.
