Role Description
Oracle Cloud GL Solution Architect (Healthcare)
Role: Oracle Cloud GL Solution Architect
Location: Remote / NYC - (50% On-site Travel Required)
Duration: March 23, 2026 – June 30, 2026 (High likelihood of extension)
Our client, a major healthcare organization, is seeking a high-level Oracle Cloud GL Solution Architect to lead a critical Chart of Accounts (COA) redesign. While the organization is currently live on Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM, the initial implementation followed a "lift and shift" methodology that failed to optimize business processes. This has resulted in inconsistent segment usage and reporting challenges.
We need a visionary architect to evaluate the current state, resolve legacy data mapping issues, and design a robust Future State COA that aligns with healthcare industry standards and sophisticated reporting requirements.
Core Responsibilities
Architectural Re-Design: Lead the end-to-end redesign of the Chart of Accounts (COA) within Oracle Cloud General Ledger.
Strategic Advisory: Act as a creative problem solver to help stakeholders understand "Future State" possibilities versus "Lift and Shift" limitations.
Process Optimization: Analyze existing business processes to identify where current segment structures are causing friction or reporting inaccuracies.
Functional Alignment: Bridge the gap between technical configuration and functional business needs, specifically regarding how the COA feeds into EPM and overall financial reporting.
Data Strategy: Address the challenges of "old values in new segments" by establishing clear governance and mapping for the transition to the new structure.
Required Skills & Experience
True Architect Level: Candidates must demonstrate deep experience in Solution Design, not just system configuration. You must be able to build a structure from the ground up based on business requirements.
Healthcare Industry Expertise: (Mandatory) Extensive experience architecting Oracle Cloud solutions within the Healthcare sector, with a firm grasp of industry-specific reporting and compliance needs.
Oracle Cloud ERP Specialist: Proven track record with Oracle Cloud Financials (GL, COA, Currencies, and Calendars).
Reporting Fluency: Strong understanding of how COA design impacts downstream reporting in both ERP and EPM environments.
Communication: Exceptional ability to influence executive stakeholders and lead complex design workshops.
