IT Procurement & Strategic Sourcing – Hybrid (Oakland, CA)
Business Unit: Engineering, Planning & Strategy
Reports To: Sr. Director, Indirect & Corporate Services Strategic Sourcing
We are expanding our IT Procurement and Strategic Sourcing team and have multiple direct-hire opportunities for IT procurement professionals at several experience levels. Candidates will partner with internal stakeholders, manage high-value IT contracts, and drive sourcing strategies across enterprise software and technology categories.
Open Positions:
IT Procurement Manager
- Compensation: $200K–$205K 15% bonus
- Experience: Senior-level, enterprise software sourcing leadership
- Responsibilities: Lead large-scale IT procurement projects, negotiate contracts ranging from $500K–$10M, develop sourcing strategies, manage vendor performance, and influence senior stakeholders.
Category Leader, Principal
- Compensation: $170K–$190K 15% bonus
- Experience: 10 years, executive presence
- Responsibilities: Own end-to-end IT sourcing category strategy, lead complex negotiations, manage high-profile supplier relationships, and provide guidance to junior team members without direct coaching.
Category Leader, Expert (3 openings)
- Compensation: $155K–$170K 10% bonus
- Experience: ~8 years, strong independent contributor
- Responsibilities: Lead IT sourcing projects independently, manage supplier negotiations, perform category analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives.
Category Leader, Senior (2 openings)
- Compensation: $145K
- Experience: ~6 years, early leadership with coaching
- Responsibilities: Support IT procurement initiatives, assist in contract negotiations, build category expertise, and develop relationships with internal teams and suppliers.
Qualifications (all levels):
- Proven experience in IT procurement and strategic sourcing, particularly with enterprise software (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, Salesforce, ServiceNow, etc.)
- Strong contract negotiation and vendor management skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead or contribute to sourcing projects, with progressive responsibility depending on role level
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and analytical skills
- Experience in category management, cost optimization, and strategic sourcing
