Job Overview:
Graves Drug is seeking an organized and proactive Gift Sales & Central Ordering Manager to oversee the gift department, including sales, employee management, and purchasing. In addition, this role will serve as the central ordering manager for all company-wide purchasing needs, ensuring efficiency and alignment across departments. The Gift Sales & Central Ordering Manager will play a critical role in delivering an exceptional customer experience and maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gift Department Management:
- Lead and supervise employees in the gift department, ensuring high performance and teamwork.
- Assign duties, manage schedules, and provide coaching to team members.
- Monitor employee performance and support their development.
- Gift Purchasing & Inventory:
- Select and purchase items for the gift department, ensuring a curated and appealing product selection.
- Analyze sales trends and customer preferences to forecast demand and adjust inventory accordingly.
- Ensure inventory levels are accurate, avoiding overstock or shortages.
- Central Ordering Management:
- Manage and oversee all company-wide purchasing to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with department heads to coordinate orders across various departments.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all purchasing activities.
- Sales & Strategy Leadership:
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales in the gift department.
- Collaborate with marketing on promotions and campaigns tailored for seasonal or specialty items.
- Customer Service:
- Promote a customer-first environment, ensuring top-notch service from all employees.
- Address customer inquiries or issues in a prompt and professional manner.
- Administrative Duties:
- Monitor and manage budgets for the gift department and central purchasing operations.
- Maintain detailed records of sales, inventory, and expenses for reporting purposes.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 34 – 40 per week
