Key Responsibilities
- Applications & Technical Support
- Provide technical support to the sales team and customers, including product recommendations, performance evaluations, and troubleshooting.
- Assist in developing technical documentation, data sheets, and customer presentations.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and prepare technical reports summarizing test results.
- Product Development and Scale-up
- Collaborate with R&D scientist on formulation, synthesis, and performance testing of new adsorbent products.
- Support the development, scale-up, and optimization of manufacturing processes for new products.
- Facilitate transition of new products from laboratory development to commercial manufacturing.
- Conduct laboratory and pilot-scale testing to evaluate product performance in various water treatment applications.
- Quality & Regulatory Support
- Perform product analytical characterization and troubleshooting.
- Raw Material Qualification
- Evaluate and qualify new raw materials in collaboration with procurement, operations, and R&D teams.
- External Collaboration
- Coordinate work with external contract laboratories for specialized testing or analysis.
- Safety & Compliance
- Follow established laboratory safety procedures and contribute to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in a laboratory or technical role within water treatment, environmental chemistry, materials science, or related industry. Experience in process scale up and product development is preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of adsorption chemistry, water treatment processes, and/or metal removal technologies preferred.
- Experience with analytical methods (e.g., titration, wet chemistry, particle size, ICP, XRF, etc.).
- Familiarity with quality systems, regulatory testing, and laboratory best practices.
- Experience with various adsorbent materials (e.g., activated carbon, ion exchange resins, advanced filtration media) a plus.
- Familiarity in process scale up, pilot testing and validation.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented.
