What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laborer position at Gravel Products Inc?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following and are in no particular order. Other duties may be assigned at any time.
Assist mechanics in mechanic shop.
Assist welders and fabricators in weld shop.
Cleaning in mechanic and weld shops.
Variety of lawn work, including mowing and weed eating throughout pits.
Uses time efficiently.
Follow direction and guidance of general manager.
Must be able to work overtime and a flexible work schedule.
Possibly may be required to help set up and tear down the plant at each new job site, including setting blocks, pulling cords, and any other duty as assigned.
Possibly may be required to help change screens on plant when required. Physical requirements for this include bending, lifting over 50 pounds, crawling in tight spaces.
Follows all safety and security procedures in accordance with OSHA and MSHA regulations. Reports potentially unsafe conditions immediately; Uses equipment and materials properly; Understands and complies with all MSHA and company safety regulations.
Other duties as assigned.

Written Communication: Writes clearly and informatively. Completes detailed time card and load sheets in legible manner. Able to read and interpret written information.

Required to sit, stand regularly, crawl in tight spaces often, carry/pull 50-80 pound parts into tight spaces occasionally.
Frequent entering and exiting equipment, which includes climbing ladder into and out of equipment or vans.
Able to lift 20 pounds frequently, 50 pounds occasionally, and move/lift 100 pounds at times.
Distance vision and depth perception.
Smoking is prohibited in any company vehicle in accordance with ND Century Code 23-12-09 and
23-12-10.
Clean driving record is required.
Must be able to pass a drug test.
