**Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which includes working Saturdays and rotating Sundays.
**Must have reliable transportation since we are NOT on the bus or light rail lines.
Job Summary
We are excited to hire a full-time Cook for the Deli Department who is passionate about food, customer service, and fast-paced food industry environments. This role is perfect for someone with prior experience in food preparation, or restaurant settings. As a key team member, you will assist with deli and kitchen operations.
COOK-For the Deli Department-FULL TIME
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble deli items, including sandwiches, salads, and other food offerings, following established recipes and quality standards.
- Assist with food handling duties such as slicing meats and cheeses, stocking shelves, and maintaining cleanliness in the deli and kitchen areas.
- Ability to prepare and cook foods according to recipes
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, answer questions about products, suggest upselling opportunities, and enhance their shopping experience.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food preparation, or restaurant environments is required.
- Experience slicing meats, preparing trays, and making sandwiches
- Ability to prepare and cook foods according to recipes
- Strong customer service skills with an energetic attitude and the ability to upsell products naturally.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced quick service while maintaining attention to detail.
