- Perform advanced woodworking and fabrication tasks including cutting, shaping, drilling, sanding, and assembling wood components
- Sand and prepare wood surfaces to achieve smooth, furniture-grade finishes and prepare parts for finishing
- Assemble wood components and sub-assemblies according to drawings and production requirements
- Operate CNC machines using existing programs to cut, route, and shape wood components
- Load materials, set up fixtures, and monitor CNC operations to ensure accuracy and quality
- Understand basic CNC concepts such as tooling, feeds, speeds, and wood-specific toolpaths
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively, including table saws, routers, jointers, planers, and sanders
- Read and interpret shop drawings, measurements, and basic CAD/CAM files related to production
- Conduct quality checks on parts and assemblies to ensure they meet company standards
- Identify defects or inconsistencies and work with the team to resolve issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment and follow all safety protocols
- 3β4 years of hands-on experience in a professional woodworking, furniture, or cabinet shop
- Strong woodworking skills with demonstrated experience in sanding, fabrication, and assembly
- Working experience operating CNC machines in a woodshop environment
- Familiarity with CNC basics and the ability to troubleshoot minor issues during production
- Proficiency with woodworking machinery and general shop tools
- Experience working with high-quality or furniture-grade wood products preferred
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to craftsmanship and quality
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a production environment
- Comfortable lifting and handling heavy wood materials
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or trade training in woodworking a plus
