Position Summary:
The Digital Workplace Engineer serves as a key enabler of productivity and collaboration, helping to ensure that productivity platforms, tools, and desktop computing environments are effectively delivered and aligned to business needs. The role works with business teams to understand processes and workflows, and is responsible for the management and administration for Graton's client computing environment, including maintaining standardized desktop images, application deployments, mobile device management (MDM) platforms, and specialty IT-supported devices such as door access control integrations, kiosks, and digital signage.

The position partners with IT support, systems, and other IT teams to provide guidance, documentation, and escalation support for deployments, configurations, device management, and productivity tools.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth in endpoint and device management along with the business facing analysis and communication skills to bridge end-user productivity and workflow needs with platform engineering.
 
Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.
2. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Graton Resort & Casino standards, policies, and procedures.
3. Workplace Productivity Platforms & Tools
a. Analyze and document use cases for Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint to support effective adoption across business units and organizations.
b. Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for end users and IT support technicians on collaboration tools and workflows.
c. Support day-to-day configuration and troubleshooting of Teams and SharePoint sites; site design and custom development are out of scope for this role.
d. Serve as secondary/backup support for Microsoft 365 tenant administration, including user and license management, security groups, and basic tenant configuration, escalating complex issues to the primary M365 administration team.
e. Partner with the M365 administration team to stay current on tenant configuration changes relevant to backup coverage responsibilities.
4. Client Platform & Device Management
a. Build and maintain standardized PC images, configuration baselines, and related policies across the organization.
b. Package, test, and document deployment processes for images and client applications, ensuring compatibility, and optimal experience for end users.
c. Design and configure Mobile Device Management (MDM) policies and profiles, including enrollment, compliance policies, and update management
d. Collaborate and hand off day-to-day operations and device management and administration to IT Support and Asset Management.
e. Administer and maintain endpoint, device, and client-side components for IT-supported specialty systems such as digital signage, kiosks, printers, and physical access control technologies.
f. Review and maintain lifecycle and runbook documentation for client devices and specialty systems, including provisioning, decommissioning, and asset tracking.
g. Troubleshoot and resolve escalated client platform and device issues in partnership with IT Support and other IT teams.
5. Cross-Functional & Process Responsibilities
a. Maintain accurate technical documentation for imaging, MDM configurations, application packages, and specialty device administration.
b. Participate in change management and security review processes for client platform and device related changes.
c. Collaborate with other teams including Security, Facilities, and AV to support technical integrations, endpoint devices, and audit requirements related to physical access control and specialty systems.
d. Provide occasional after-hours or on-call support for critical client platforms, MDM, or access control issues.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
1. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
2. 3--5 years of experience in end user computing, desktop engineering, or client platform administration.
3. Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, and Office productivity apps.
4. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and/or SCCM for MDM and endpoint management.
5. Experience with PC imaging tools and processes, and application packaging/deployment.
6. Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows client environments, networking fundamentals, and device connectivity.
7. Excellent communication skills, with demonstrated ability to train and support both end users and technical staff.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Exposure to Microsoft 365 tenant administration (Entra ID, Exchange Online, security groups, licensing).
2. Experience administering physical access control systems, kiosks, or other specialty/IoT-type IT supported devices.
3. Familiarity with ITIL practices and ITSM tooling (e.g., ServiceNow).
4. Experience in a hospitality, gaming, or other regulated/compliance-driven environment.
5. Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator, MD-102, or equivalent).
 
Physical Requirements:
1. Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
2. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, with or without assistance.
