Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their shopping experience
- Operate POS systems efficiently for transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Assist with product demos and upselling to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Maintain proper merchandising standards by organizing displays and stocking shelves regularly
- Handle cash transactions accurately and manage cash handling procedures
- Manage inventory levels by stocking shelves and conducting stock checks
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
- Provide product information to customers and answer questions about store offerings
- Support supervising staff with daily operations as needed
- Promote store promotions and assist in achieving sales targets through effective communication
Skills
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
- Retail sales experience with knowledge of cashiering and POS systems
- Ability to perform basic math for transactions and retail math calculations
- Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos is preferred
- Supervising experience is a plus for leadership opportunities
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse customers effectively
- Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude
- Upselling skills to increase sales while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Knowledge of grocery store operations is advantageous but not required
- Ability to work well in a team environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $23.14 - $27.87 per hour
