What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator position at Grassroots Surfaces?
***THIS IS A WEEKEND SHIFT WORKING FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY. THE HOURS ARE FROM 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM***
Machine Operator
- Start up, operate, and monitor injection molding machines to produce base parts.
- Adjust machine settings as needed to optimize performance.
Quality Control
- Inspect finished products for defects.
- Ensure all parts meet pre-determined specifications and quality standards.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance
- Detect and report machine malfunctions promptly.
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor adjustments to keep machines running smoothly.
Production Monitoring
- Observe machine operations continuously.
- Maintain raw material flow to support uninterrupted production.
Record Keeping
- Log production data accurately.
- Count finished parts and report issues to supervisors or mold technicians.
Safety & Cleanliness
- Follow all workplace safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy items (often up to 50 pounds).
- Manual dexterity for repetitive use of hands, wrists, and arms.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Experience in warehouse or manufacturing environments.
