The Behavior Support Aide is responsible to the Director of Pupil Services and works under the direct supervision of the designated manager(s). A Behavior Support Aide gathers and charts data related to student behavior, models behavior intervention strategies, and assists classroom staff and instructional support staff in the implementation of individual student’s Behavior Support Plans (BSP) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodologies. The Grass Valley School District has a 150 year old heritage in the heart of the California Gold Country. It is widely recognized for its excellent teachers, creative approach to learning, and care for students and families. We serve over 1700 children, preschool to eighth grade, in six schools; two preschools, two kindergarten through fourth grade schools, one fifth through eighth grade school, and one preschool through eighth grade charter school. Our academic programs are balanced with a full offering of fine and performing arts, a comprehensive kindergarten through eighth grade technology program, and a wide array of electives and competitive sports.
