Shipping and Finishing Assistant

Graphicsland is a growing e-commerce company that specializes in custom printing of stickers, product labels, and wide format posters. Our brands handle hundreds of thousands of custom orders every year, helping small businesses, creators, and researchers look professional, grow their audiences, and share their ideas with the world. 

We are seeking an individual to join our team as a Shipping and Finishing Assistant. In this role, you will oversee the operation of a label roll finishing machine used to slit down label orders according to our specifications. You will also be tasked with shipping orders once they are completed. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast paced team environment. We are looking for someone who is driven by curiosity,  thrives while working with others, and is ready to solve problems. Training will be provided, but reliability and communication are essential to success.
 

This is a non-exempt, full-time position
Monday-Friday 9am - 5:30pm at our Mokena, Illinois location
Training will happen at our Tinley Park location for the first 4 weeks
Starting Pay: $20.00/hr

Responsibilities

• Monitor machine operation to ensure proper cutting and quality of finished products.
• Use basic shipping software to ship individual orders.
• Set up the machine between runs to exact specifications. 
• Inspect materials before and after cutting to verify accuracy and quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on the laser cutting machine as needed.
• Communicate errors or issues to the proper teammates. 
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math skills and ability to do conversions between metric and standard systems. 
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, squatting, overhead reaching, frequent walking, and using hands for manual tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Aptitude for mechanical operation, manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Ability to maintain composure under high pressure and tight deadlines
