Duties
- Safely operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse
- Manage inventory control using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to accurately track stock levels and locations
- Perform stock stocking, order picking, packing, and shipping & receiving tasks to fulfill customer orders efficiently
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy and proper inventory management
- Assist with materials handling activities including heavy lifting, load & unload operations, and the use of mechanical knowledge for equipment troubleshooting
- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment following OSHA safety standards and best practices for construction and manufacturing settings
- Support warehouse supervision by adhering to established procedures for order fulfillment, inventory management, and safety protocols
Experience
- Prior experience in a warehouse environment or distribution center is highly preferred
- Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, or pallet jacks is essential
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400 platforms, or similar inventory control software is advantageous
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to warehousing and materials handling is required
- Mechanical aptitude or construction-related experience can be beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Proven ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Previous roles involving shipping & receiving, order picking & packing, or manufacturing environments will support success in this position
