We are seeking an Electromechanical Assembler and Tester to support the assembly, wiring, printhead assembly, ink system assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of industrial inkjet printer systems and related components. This is a hands-on technical role involving mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and fluid-handling systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble industrial inkjet printer systems, subassemblies, control panels, brackets, and mechanical components.
- Assemble printhead modules and related components, including printhead mounts, cabling, fluid connections, alignment hardware, and protective covers.
- Assemble ink delivery systems, including reservoirs, pumps, tubing, fittings, valves, filters, manifolds, and related fluid components.
- Perform wiring, soldering, crimping, cable routing, connector installation, and basic electrical assembly.
- Install and route pneumatic and fluid lines according to drawings and work instructions.
- Test completed assemblies and printer systems using test fixtures, meters, and documented procedures.
- Perform printhead assembly checks, including connection verification, alignment support, fluid connection checks, and basic functional testing.
- Perform ink system checks, including leak testing, flow verification, pressure checks, priming, flushing, and basic fluid system troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, printhead, and ink/fluid-handling issues during assembly and test.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, and assembly procedures.
- Inspect parts and assemblies for quality, proper fit, finish, and operation.
- Document test results, assembly issues, nonconformances, and corrective actions.
- Work with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve build or test problems.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow company procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or a related technical field preferred.
- Experience in electromechanical assembly, equipment testing, machine building, or industrial manufacturing preferred.
- Experience with printhead assembly, ink systems, fluid delivery systems, pumps, tubing, valves, or industrial printing equipment is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, meters, test equipment, and basic diagnostic methods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
- Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and work at a bench or production station for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move parts or assemblies as required.
- Comfort working with tools, electrical components, mechanical hardware, printheads, ink, solvents, and fluid-handling equipment.
Position Summary
- Hands-on role supporting the assembly, printhead assembly, ink system integration, testing, and troubleshooting of GSI industrial inkjet printer systems.
- Helps ensure each system is built accurately, tested thoroughly, and delivered to customers with high quality and reliability.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
