General Manager – Commercial Print & Graphics Operations

Established, rapidly growing commercial print and graphics company seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, production workflow, staff leadership, customer service, and administrative management.
We provide commercial print, wide format graphics, finishing, mailing, and fulfillment services for businesses, organizations, and government clients throughout New Mexico. Our company is focused on building scalable systems, operational consistency, and long-term stability as ownership transitions away from daily operational involvement over time.
This is a leadership role with significant operational authority and long-term growth potential for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily shop operations and production workflow
- Manage scheduling, priorities, deadlines, and job tracking
- Lead and supervise a small production staff of 6 to 7 people
- Coordinate customer communication and issue resolution
- Maintain production efficiency, quality control, and accountability
- Assist with estimating, purchasing, vendor coordination, and inventory management
- Develop and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workflow systems
- Monitor KPIs, production performance, and turnaround times
- Help create a structured, process-driven operational environment
- Work closely with ownership on reporting, planning, and operational improvements
Preferred Experience
- Commercial print, sign shop, graphics, direct mail, or production manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Experience managing production teams and operational workflow
- Familiarity with digital printing, wide format, finishing, and production scheduling
- Experience with MIS, workflow, or production management software is a plus
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Comfortable using production software, spreadsheets, and digital communication tools
- Ability to remain calm, organized, and solution-oriented in a fast-paced production environment
