Laminator Operator / Large format graphics finisher
Prepare, laminate, mount, and trim large-scale printed materials (banners, signs, vehicle wraps) using laminators and cutting tools. Ensure high-quality, defect-free finished products, manage material inventory, and perform maintenance on finishing equipment to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
- Operating Lamination Machinery: Set up, operate, and clean roll laminators (cold/hot) to apply protective film to prints, managing speed, pressure, and temperature settings.
- Mounting and Finishing: Mount prints onto rigid substrates (foam board, PVC, metal) using flatbed applicators, and perform precision trimming using hand tools, automated cutters, or routers.
- Quality Control: Inspect prints for defects (bubbles, wrinkles, color issues) before and after lamination, ensuring products meet company and client specifications.
- Graphic Finishing: Perform weeding, taping, and cutting of vinyl graphics.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on laminators and finishing equipment to ensure optimal performance, troubleshooting issues as needed.
- Production Workflow: Read job tickets to understand project requirements, manage material inventory (films, vinyl, adhesives), and package finished graphics for shipping.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
