Receiving and Inventory Associate
The Receiving and Inventory Associate supports daily warehouse operations by receiving incoming deliveries, maintaining accurate inventory records, and organizing materials and products. This position works closely with purchasing, production, and shipping to ensure items are properly accounted for and available when needed.
Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming deliveries.
- Compare deliveries against purchase orders and packing slips to verify quantities and item details.
- Report shortages, damage, incorrect items, and other discrepancies.
- Label, organize, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventories.
- Research inventory discrepancies and report findings to the Warehouse Manager.
- Pull and deliver materials to support production and other departments.
- Assist with returns and maintain receiving and inventory documentation.
- Keep receiving and storage areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow company safety procedures when handling materials and operating equipment.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse, receiving, or inventory experience (Required)
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and basic math skills.
- Basic computer skills; experience with inventory software or Sage is a plus.
- Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience using pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus; required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and handle materials throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
