Driver/Warehouse
Family owned and operated paper distributor seeking a responsible, organized and safety conscious driver to join our team. We have provided superior service and products to our customers since 1976. We’re looking for someone with a great personality and excellent work ethic that can fit into a small family-like atmosphere. Hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday –Thursday and 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Friday.
Although we do not have health insurance, we are very employee oriented. We have a 401-k retirement plan , year-end bonuses based on profits and at least 11 paid days off the first year and at least 16 paid days off the second year.
We would also consider a part-time position for the right applicant.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Operate company vehicles to make deliveries and pickups
· Load and unload vehicles
· Restock materials in warehouse
· Pull orders and prepare for delivery or will-call
· Use navigational technology to find and follow optimal routes
· Refuel vehicles, keep them clean and ensure they’re always ready for use
Objectives:
· Deliver materials in a timely fashion
· Comply with all traffic laws and company safety regulations
· Maintain a clean and operational vehicle
· Represent the company positively and professionally in interactions with customers and the general public
· Gain a thorough understanding of the local area and the most efficient routes
Additional Requirements:
· Valid driver’s license
· Clean driving record for at least one year
· Ability to drive for extended periods
· Strong commitment to safety
· Excellent navigational skills
· Ability and willingness to handle a variety of duties
· Good communication and interpersonal skills
· Self-starter and independent thinker
· Desire to learn from co-workers and ask questions
· Physical stamina and good upper body strength to lift heavy cartons, packages and objects, as well as be able to load and unload them from their vehicle. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
· High School diploma minimum
