Transportation and Logistics Customer Service Representative

We are growing and are hiring a Transportation and Logistics Customer Service Representative to work in our Pomona, CA office. The Transportation and Logistics Customer Service Representative communicates with customers on service capabilities, work order input, coordinates with dispatch, provides information on shipment status, and works with data entry into the terminal management system.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provides information to customers on intermodal transportation service capabilities and capacity availability
• Enters order information directly into the computer system (GTG, company proprietary software) accurately and on a timely basis (immediately as received)
• Resolve service issues with customers and/or dispatchers
• Schedule appointment times as required, meeting designated delivery windows set by the customer
• Communicates with customers (shippers, consignees, and third parties as required) to provide information on shipment status to communicate anticipated service issues, new pick-up and delivery times, and alternative solutions where possible
• Perform other duties as requested

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal communication, and computer skills
• Detail-oriented and works effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines
• Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision
• Recognize problems, identify possible causes and resolve routine problems
• Ability to establish and maintain a professional atmosphere for co-workers and customers

Qualifications:

• Two (2) years of intermodal transportation and logistics customer service preferred
• Strong attention to detail and excellent local geographical knowledge
• Bring energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude to the job
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills
• Computer Literate - (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook) required
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
