We are seeking a compassionate and energetic PRN (as-needed) Direct Support Professional to join our dedicated team. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans to ensure safety and compliance
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with dietary restrictions and preferences, maintaining cleanliness in food preparation areas
- Engage residents in social activities, recreational programs, and community outings to promote socialization and well-being
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing regular cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols
- Document care activities accurately in resident records, including progress notes, incident reports, and updates on care plans
Requirements
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, memory care, autism support, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays
- Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training, and medication administration are strongly encouraged
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for patient transfer using equipment like Hoyer lifts
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients
- Flexibility to work PRN shifts
