Grants Pass School District No. 7 is now accepting temporary in-district applications for the following position for summer 2026:
Location: Parkside Elementary
Position: Food Service Assistant
Hours: 5 hours per day
Temporary employees are defined as “employees hired for a specific period not to
exceed the equivalent of ninety (90) consecutive working days.”
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
- Must be able to obtain a Food Handlers Card upon date of hire.
- Knowledge of methods and ability to prepare main dishes, salads, sandwiches, desserts, and other foods; work with recipe portion counts; basic kitchen utensils and equipment.
- Ability to supervise student helpers if required, handle money.
- Maintain cooperative relationships with fellow employees and ability to get along well with students.
- Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish preferred.
Dates: Monday-Thursday; 6/12/2026-7/30/2026
STARTING SALARY RANGE: $15.83- $22.87 (June) $16.47-$23.79 (July) per hour.
Dependent on experience/education.
