Kennel Attendant - Part-Time | Entry Level

Grants Lick Veterinary Hospital exists to provide quality veterinary care and exceptional service to our clients and patients in the Northern Kentucky area in a professional and compassionate manner.
We are currently seeking a Kennel Attendant to join our team. This position is Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, and is a great opportunity for students looking for part-time entry level work experience in the veterinary field.
The primary role of the Kennel Attendant is to ensure proper patient care by maintaining a clean, stocked, and organized hospital environment.

What to Expect Within This Role:

• Clean and disinfect cages, kennels, floors, sinks, and hospital areas
• Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas, exam rooms, lobby, break rooms, and restrooms
• Ensure laundry is continuously processed and maintained
• Stock supplies throughout the hospital as needed
• Assist veterinary technicians with surgical preparation, including:

• Folding and cutting surgical drapes
• Cleaning endotracheal tubes
• Organizing and wrapping surgical packs
• Preparing surgical instruments for autoclave sterilization

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum age of 16 required due to job duties and safety requirements
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Reliable, dependable, and consistent attendance and punctuality
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching
• Good hand dexterity and visual acuity
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Starting Pay | $12/hr
