Our Merchandise Associate at Grant’s Farm will be responsible for interacting with guests daily by (inviting them in to shop our unique souvenirs and apparel) (suggest items that are popular or may help solve a problem they are having (rain jacket/backpack to hold their items etc). as well as maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Essential Job Duties

• Provide excellent guest service at all times.
• Greet and ask guests about their favorite animal/activity as they enter your area
• Adheres to all company policies concerning Health and Safety (includes the refilling of all essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms and Front End)
• Offer suggestions to help souvenir-seeking guests find their perfect keepsake
• Tell shoppers about add-on accessories and popular items to impact sales
• Re-stock bins, shelves, fixtures, and displays full with the newest merchandise
• Handles all Point-of-Sale transaction at the cash register and supports/responds to all Front-End coverage needs
• Maximize customer interest and sales levels by displaying and stocking products appropriately.
• Adheres to all operational and loss prevention controls in accordance with company guidelines and policies including shrink reduction.
• Communicates accurately and effectively with management, leads and fellow team members.
• Work closely with all departments to foster an outstanding and seamless guest experience throughout Grant’s Farm
• Participates in safety awareness and maintenance of a risk-free environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and suggestive selling skills
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Capable of handling multiple tasks at one time
• Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
• Strong communication skills; verbal and written. Listens and responds appropriately.
• Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors to accomplish tasks.
• Strong sense of personal integrity.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Must be able to lift or carry 30 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions including heat, inclement weather, cold, etc
