General Description
The Career Services Coordinator assists clients in exploring career paths and helps them prepare to interview for those positions of interest.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts assessments to new clients to determine services
- Refers clients to vocational rehabilitation, training or to Account Managers for recruiting events.
- Works closely with Account Managers and Community Partners to match employer needs/job orders with the skills and qualifications of jobseekers.
- Manages a schedule for training, client assessment and individual career advisement with placement targets results
- Maintains a case load and manages case notes for each client
- Reviews resume and assess candidates’ eligibility for specific job openings
- Assists candidates in preparing or revising resumes
- Conducts workshops to help build candidates’ skills and improve their chances of employment
- Input data into database and generate reports for trainings
Qualifications
- College degree preferred in related field or equivalent experience working with special populations
- Bilingual speakers in Spanish, Creole/French, or Russian are strongly preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in the social services, human resources, teaching or advisement fields
- Ability to assess individual skills with precision and make appropriate referrals
- Ability to solve problems and work with a diverse customer base
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in a performance metric/results-oriented environment
Salary Range: $23.08 - $24.04 per hour
