Service Technician

Job Purpose / Summary:

The Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing low-voltage electrical components in portable cleaning equipment and pressure pumps, such as pressure washers and truck-mounted small engine-powered cleaning units. Applicants should have general mechanical knowledge and the ability to read wiring diagrams. Applicants must be able to work safely and productively within a warehouse environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The Service Technician will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:

Regularly diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment

Replace electrical or mechanical components or parts, using hand and/or power tools

Operates machines to test the functioning of parts or mechanisms

Removes and disassembles equipment to inspect parts and functionality

Utilizes database to identify stock of replacement parts

Creates order of work outlining parts required, a timeline of repair, and estimated cost

Qualifications & Education Requirements: 

To perform the job successfully, an individual must have the following:   

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• General knowledge of hand and power tools, tools are company provided
• Able to read and comprehend manuals, procedures, and other written documents
• A basic mechanical aptitude
• Basic computer skills
• Experience with small engine repair is a plus, but not required
• Experience with HVAC repair is a plus, but not required
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check 

Travel Required:

• 0 -10% Travel 

Working Conditions / Physical Demands:

• Must be able to perform duties in a warehouse environment, which may be non-air conditioned or heated, meaning the indoor temperature fluctuates with the seasons. 
• Utilize a computer and other tools for administrative support
• Standing for long periods of time
• Frequent reaching, bending, and stooping
• Lifting of objects up to 50 pounds, on occasion.
• Ability and comfortability to fit into tight spaces
