Job Purpose / Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist I is responsible for keeping customer orders flowing smoothly as the issues relate to the customers’ account balances and statuses and collecting on all past due balances.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The AR Specialist I will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:
- Monitor the Credit Hold screens and release orders from credit hold after properly analyzing the account.
- Answer incoming customer calls and in-house credit question calls while providing outstanding customer service.
- Help customers with account reconciliations.
- Process Checks by Fax and credit card payments for Pearlman Group.
- Post payments to customer accounts.
- Make collection calls.
- Help with Customer Credit application research.
- Process tax-exempt certificates for customers.
- Additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Education Requirements:
To perform the job successfully, an individual must have the following:
- One – Two years of accounts receivable experience
- Two-year degree is preferred, but not required
- Self-motivated, able to prioritize and execute multiple tasks, and manage deadlines while exhibiting a team-first attitude
- Be a team player by contributing to special projects and department goals that may arise periodically and pulling requested support during the annual external audit preparation. Provide outstanding customer service to all employees.
- Proficient in MS Office - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check

- Normal office environment: no adverse environmental conditions are expected.
- Utilize a computer and other tools for administrative support.
- Assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.

- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds, on occasion.
