Academy Assistant Director - Gymnastics Camp

For summer 2026 the YMCA Allard Center of Goffstown is hiring an energetic and passionate Assistant Gymnastics Camp Director to join our seasonal team! This position is responsible for helping the camp director with program schedules, supervision of camp staff, and the well-being of its campers.

Essential Functions:

• Assist the Camp Director with the planning, implementation and supervision of the entire camp day
• Monitor, supervise campers and ensure their safety and security at all times  
• Provide direction and guidance for staff in the day to day logistics involving programming, when time allows actively participate with campers and staff 
• Assist the Camp Director with the day to day logistics, trouble shooting, daily schedule 
• Help to develop creative ways to promote character development
• Assist the Program Director with Monitoring/inventory camp supplies, equipment and report to camp director the supply needs of the camp on a weekly basis or as needed
• Help the check in or out of camp each week and make sure all parent cards 
• Be responsible for the parent communication notebook for Gymnastics and Ninja camp and know where the notebook is at any time of the day
• Help with the set up and cleanup of the daily Ninja Obstacle Course and G2N Ninja System as well as help set up and clean up Gymnastics Stations on all events each day

Job Qualifications:

• 2 years of gymnastics and camp experience 
• Ability to effectively communicate with parents and staff
• Leadership skills
• Ability to give and receive appropriate feedback
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to take initiative to help each part of the camp day run smoothly and effectively

As a seasonal position, the Assistant Camp Director works early June through the end of August. The first half of June is camp training and prep, and during the camp season the incumbent works 40hour weeks between administrative functions and within the camp program itself.
