Position Responsibilities Precision Excavation: Excavate line and grade for mainline waterline, sewer, storm drain, and water pipe according to project plans. Utility Safety: Masterfully excavate around existing utilities with high precision. Technical Implementation: Understand and execute trench depth, grade compaction, pothole procedures, and pipeline installation. Safety Leadership: Act as the OSHA Certified Competent Person for trenching and shoring; implement rigging and shoring practices to ensure a safe environment for all. Equipment Care: Maintain thorough knowledge of equipment maintenance to ensure fleet reliability. Project Oversight: Read plans accurately and keep the crew organized and on task to meet goals and deadlines. Qualifications & Requirements Experience: Proven track record in mainline excavation and pipe utilities. Certification: OSHA Certified Competent Person for trenching and shoring. Attitude: A positive, team-oriented mindset with the ability to follow supervisor directions. Communication: Effective communication skills with co-workers and supervisors. Compliance: Must pass pre-employment and random drug/alcohol testing (Drug-Free Workplace). Physically, workers must be able to: Stoop, bend, and crouch Use hands, arms, and legs fully See well (either naturally or with correction) Lift up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
