Summary
Assists in the daily kitchen operations by preparing food, maintaining cleanliness, managing inventory, and supporting the Kitchen Supervisor in food safety tasks. Ensures all kitchen duties are performed in compliance with health and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Requires current Serv Safe Certification (Food handler certificate)
- Good personal hygiene and well-kept appearance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- If a recovering person, a minimum of one year of continuous sobriety and active participation in a program of recovery
- Bilingual candidate, preferred
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and serving of food according to the menu and portion control
- Keep the work area and kitchen clean, including cleaning dishes and utensils
- Check the menu to ensure proper thawing of ingredients
- Unload, stock, and date weekly food deliveries
- Prepare beverages for the facility as needed
- Assist with inventory tracking and food ordering
- Log refrigerator/freezer and dishwasher temperatures as required
- Assist with general kitchen duties as assigned

- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work cooperatively with other departments
- Ability to follow food safety guidelines and menu instructions
