Position Overview
The Granite VNA Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling of assigned field staff in their day-to-day assignments.
Essential Functions

- Reviews and generates new service orders. Labels the visits and assigns to appropriate staff within 24 hrs.
- Follows established process for new admissions.
- Demonstrates understanding of visit frequencies and certification periods in order to problem solve accurately and schedule effectively.
- Reviews and assigns any open (un-assigned) visits per the orders, based staff availability and geographic coverage.
- Promptly and accurately handle visits that need to be canceled or rescheduled due to unscheduled absences.
- Communicates with the staff and patients via designated communication system to inform them of cancelled visits and/or changes in their daily schedules.
- Attaches a note to the canceled visit explaining the outcome of the communication with the client/family and/or management staff.
- Assign cancelled and/or open visits upon notification that a staff member is unable to complete their assigned visit schedule.
- Run the scheduling program to update visit schedules according to procedure set up by management.
- Monitor Open Service orders throughout the day and assign for the appropriate time based on the requirements of the order.
- Coordinates client coverage plans for staff-planned anticipated absence.
- Directs any employee or patient complaints or concerns to the appropriate Manager.
- Communicates to the appropriate manager daily and timely any unscheduled and/or open visits for triage.
- Performs evening, weekend and holiday on-call scheduler coverage as requested, which may include coverage of Weekend Scheduler duties.

Expected Hours of Work
The team member will be scheduled to work Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Work assignments may include weekends or holidays.

- High School diploma
- Computer competency including data entry skills with a high rate of accuracy
