Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Die Setter and Mold Technicians role for the 2nd and 3rd shift based in Hudson, NH. The role involves setting up, changing, and optimizing injection molds and dies on molding machines, including safely installing, clamping, and removing molds according to production schedules. The Mold Technician will adjust processing parameters, troubleshoot molding issues, and perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on molds, tooling, and related equipment. Daily responsibilities include monitoring machine performance, ensuring part quality through visual and dimensional checks, and documenting setup parameters and production data. The role also collaborates closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to support new product launches, continuous improvement initiatives, and efficient, safe operations.
Qualifications
- Experience with injection molding operations, including die and mold setup, changeovers, and optimization in a production environment.
- Hands-on skills in basic mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs of molds, tooling, and molding equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, tool prints, setup instructions, and production documentation.
- Strong focus on quality, including familiarity with visual inspection, basic measurement tools, and adherence to established standards and procedures.
- Understanding of safety practices in a manufacturing setting, including safe lifting, lockout/tagout, and proper handling of tools and materials.
- Ability to work on-site in Hudson, NH, stand for extended periods, and safely handle mold components and related equipment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with production, quality, and engineering personnel across shifts.
- Previous experience in plastics injection molding, die setting is strongly preferred; exposure to ISO or regulated environments is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in manufacturing, tooling, or plastics technology is a plus.
