- Current Utah Professional Educator License or out-of-state educator license required. No AEL (Associate) or ARL (Alternative Route to Licensure) license candidates accepted.
- Counseling or CTE teaching endorsement required
- Appropriate license/endorsement must be verified by uploaded license as required by application platform
- Minimum of three years’ experience as a CTE teacher/school counselor
- Take a network and program area leadership role to actively accomplish district and CTE goals and directives
- Provide strong leadership for a career center team
- Support teachers across the network and in assigned program area(s)
- Promote CTE programs in the network and within Granite School District
- Recruit, register and monitor students for the district CTE programs (including Academies, GTI and other off-campus programs)
- Provide students in the network information about career pathways and post-high school options
- Address equity and inclusion issues within the network and assigned program area(s)
- Coordinate career development, career planning and Pathway Initiatives for the network including implementation of YouScience
- Actively participate on the school counselor team and provide resources to guidance counselors and coordinate career development with College and Career Readiness planning
- Coordinate CTE Skill Certification Testing in the High School
- Coordinate CTE work-based learning
- Work with CTE student organization (CTSO) school leaders in building strong CTSOs in all program areas within the high school
- Provide support to pathway(s) professional learning community (PLC) leaders and the PLC teams
- Facilitate advisory boards in assigned pathways
- Work closely with industry and postsecondary partners on program area advisory boards
- Support Wasatch Front South CTE Region programs
- Maintain career center services in the network.
- Complete required reports and accountability assessments required through CTE and the district in a timely fashion
- Work closely with the high school administer assigned to facilitate concurrent enrollment and serve as the direct liaison for students in admissions and registration for concurrent enrollment classes
- Serve as a program manager for CTE cluster/pathway area(s), as assigned
- Commit to the CTE philosophy of preparing all students for college and careers.
- Facilitate student participation in pathways leading to concentration, completion, industry certification, and participation in internships and apprenticeships.
- Support the philosophy and vision of Granite School District including being familiar with and willing to implement the Granite Way
- Assist teachers in maintaining a safe, orderly lab environment following all required safety procedures
- Support teacher utilization of lab equipment to apply concepts found in USBE’s CTE Core Curriculum through modeling and training
- Support teachers in implementation of district areas of focus including: curriculum maps, benchmarks and proficiency scales
- Act as a positive role model for teachers and students
- Maintain an inventory of equipment in assigned pathways
- Create and maintain strong relationships with pathway area industry partners
- Complete required state reports in a timely manner

CTE COORDINATOR – CYPRUS HIGH SCHOOL – 9 MONTH CONTRACT (7-hour day)–UP TO 20 EXTRA DAYS (7-hour day) TO BE DETERMINED
The CTE Coordinator will lead Career and Technical Education programs in the high school and the high school network including feeder junior high schools and elementary schools. The CTE Coordinator will oversee all functions of the high school Career Center and will act as the CTE liaison in the high school network supporting awareness, exploration. intentional preparation and connections with industry of students in K-12th grades. They will also act as a district program manager over one or more CTE pathway areas. The CTE Coordinator will provide support to CTE’s greatest asset, the CTE teachers within the high school network and teachers within their assigned program area(s).
Targeted program area for the CTE Coordinator: Technology and Engineering or an individual with shop safety skills. Skills in these areas are preferred for this position.

Job Summary
The GTI CTE Coordinator, having expertise in the areas of industry skill needs, lab safety requirements, USBE CTE strands and standards, concurrent enrollment, work-based learning, classroom instruction, CTE curriculum, and organizational change, will work with classroom teachers, administration, and all support staff, to increase student learning and teacher practice. The GTI CTE Coordinator will focus on providing career knowledge and opportunities to all students within the district CTE magnet program and facilitate implementation of quality CTE programs in an assigned pathway(s). The CTE Coordinator will also work closely with industry and postsecondary partners in their assigned pathway(s) to align curriculum and instruction to industry needs. In order to meet this purpose, the GTI CTE Coordinator will provide personalized, one-on-one support based on the goals and identified needs of individual students and teachers.
