What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Dental Hygienist position at Granite Family Dentistry?
Granite Family Dentistry is looking to EXPAND! We are in search for an RDH to join our busy General practice 2 days a week with potential for more. We are a small well managed close team! If you're looking for a cozy close dental family feel without cooperate influence. Competitive pay. Dentrix software (not required for experience )
Hours are 730-530 Mondays and Tuesdays with future growth for more days
$48- $52 Pay is based off of experience
Responsibilities
- Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
- Sterilize dental instruments properly
- Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
- Identify conditions like gingivitis, periodontitis need for orthodontics
- Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
- Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
- Take X-rays or Itero scan
- Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases
- Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
Skills
- Proven experience as Dental Hygienist
- Proven experience in treatment planning
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
- Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
- Outstanding communication skills
- A patient and friendly personality
- Attention to detail
- Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job
- Valid license to practice
- license to administer local anesthesia required
