Granite Engineering is hiring Construction Material Testing Technician to join our team in our Colorado Springs and Aurora, CO offices. Job Description:
The construction material testing technician will perform field testing on concrete and soils, field observation, and inspection of construction materials and activities (steel, asphalt, etc.). Deliver results to project manager for review and communicate with clients about the testing, observation and inspection results. Prepare documentations for the activities and results of the testing, observation and inspection. Assist laboratory in preparing samples and perform testing on soil, aggregates and concrete.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Under close supervision of higher level technicians or project manager, perform testing and observations duties.
- Provides clear documentation of results.
- Communicates information to Project Manager and prepare documentations for submittal.
- Submits documentation and communicates results as directed by the Project Manager
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
- Able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Certifications:
- WAQTC & CAPA
- ACI certification
- Nuclear Density Gauge certification
Construction Engineering Technician Level I qualifications & pay rate range - Experience, secondary education, and applicable certifications are a plus. Full-time Engineering Technician Level I are paid between $19.00 and $23.00 per hour. Our offer will be based upon individuals experience and qualifications.
Construction Engineering Technician Level II qualifications & pay rate range - One year of experience, secondary education, and a minimum of nuclear density gauge certification are required for this position. Full-time Engineering Technician Level II are paid between $20.00 and $28.00 per hour. Our offer will be based upon individuals experience and qualifications.
Construction Engineering Technician Level III qualifications & pay rate range - Four years of experience, secondary education, and a minimum of WAQTC and CAPA certifications are required for this position. Full-time Engineering Technician Level III are paid between $24.00 and $38.00 per hour. Our offer will be based upon individuals experience and qualifications.
