Accounts Payable Specialist - Construction Industry
Pay: $75,000.00
Position Type: Full-Time, In-Person (Lutz, FL)
Position Summary
Granite Communications & Security is a fast-growing, nationwide low-voltage contractor specializing in structured cabling, security systems, and access control. We're seeking a detail-oriented, organized Accounts Payable Specialist to manage our AP operations and support project accounting in a dynamic construction environment.
Role Overview:
Accounts payable processing, support job costing and project accounting, and coordinate with vendors and project teams. This role requires accuracy, attention to compliance requirements, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain all Lien Releases before AP disbursements
- Assist in WIP (Work-in-Progress) reporting
- Enter AP invoices in QuickBooks and request approvals from management.
- Complete Vendors subcontractors’ agreements.
- Payment scheduling and cash flow optimization
- Month-end close support
- Verify invoice compliance
- Timely and compliant billing
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in accounting
- 3 Years of Accounting Experience in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required)
- Microsoft 365

Work Hours: 40-50 a week
Compensation: $75,000.00
