Job Description
As a Supply Chain Manager, you will play a critical role in growing the success of our Underground business by providing industry-leading support and quality of product. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing daily purchasing requirements for assigned buylines either directly or with support team members.
- Working closely with vendors to review new product releases and revisions to ensure stocked SKUs are up to date with market requirement.
- Collaborating with suppliers, sales, and pricing teams to develop, communicate, and implement competitive and profitable day-to-day selling strategies.
- Maintaining a solid working knowledge of essential commodity trends including industry trends, cost drivers, global pricing, material lead times, and technical/manufacturing processes.
- Optimizing inventory levels at the distribution centers and branch level based on market needs and financial return.
- Negotiating cost savings through purchase discounts, waived or delayed price increases, or other cost reductions.
- Negotiating annual rebate programs as directed.
- Creating reports to routinely measure performance and identify potential problems.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, or Supply Chain Management.
- 3-5 Years' experience in Purchasing / Supply Chain/Sales Management, preferably in a multi-location distribution environment.
- Strong analytical, communication, and financial skills.
- Hands-on role requiring willingness and ability to be both the strategist and tactician.
- Ability to work in fast-paced organization.
- Proven influencing, planning, and prioritizing skills.
