Driver

*The ideal candidate for this role would be a retired or an active law enforcement officer looking for additional work.*

Job Purpose

The Security Driver is primarily responsible for the safe and secure transportation when requested. The Security Driver may also be responsible for performing security advances for all business and event locations to be visited, if needed.  In addition, the Security Driver may perform on-site security functions.

Competencies and Qualifications

 The minimum qualifications for employment as a Security Driver are:

• Valid driver’s license.
• Safe and professional driving skills.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• Proficiency in use of MS Office Suite, GPS, Google Maps, and other traffic related applications including on board vehicular navigational systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Ability to interact with people in a cordial, direct and professional manner.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and overnight.
• Highly organized, professional, and punctual with the ability to work with little or no direct supervision.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure while providing a high level of customer service. Multitask, think, and respond to dynamic, ever-changing environments and conditions.
• Strict confidentiality and situational sensitivity are mandatory. 
• Submission to a comprehensive background check and drug testing.

Preferred qualifications include but are not limited to the following:

• Active or retired law enforcement.
• Military experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and/or Class “E”. 
• Executive protection experience.
• New York State Security Guard License.
• Relevant professional work experience driver /chauffeur.
• CPR / AED Certified.
