Key Responsibilities
- Assist the surgeon during evaluations and surgical procedures
- Prepare and educate patients prior to surgery
- Accurately document evaluation, medical history, clinical notes and procedures in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and clinical safety standards
- Turn over and prepare surgical rooms efficiently between procedures
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care throughout the surgical experience
- Follow Granger Oral Surgery Standards of Practice and established protocols
Qualifications
- Dental assisting experience required
- Active radiography license required
- Oral surgery experience preferred, but not required
- CPR certification
- Strong attention to detail and clinical accuracy
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced surgical environment
