The Role:As a Preconstruction Intern, you will:
- Use 3D takeoff software to assist in estimate development.
- Work with subcontractors to assist with preconstruction estimates.
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications for project-specific requirements.
- Work alongside the preconstruction team to gain exposure to project planning/coordination, data collection, estimating, and value engineering.
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in building construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with the capability to lead by example.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and a self-starter mentality.
- A strong work ethic with dedication to meeting deadlines.
- Ability to see the big picture while focusing on details.
- Comfort with technology and a willingness to learn new software.
- Must be able to work full-time.
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
- Proficiency in construction management software like ProCore, ViewPoint, or Microsoft Project.
- Familiarity with CostX
