GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

Maintain and repair all rolling stock; assist in development of maintenance schedules for rolling stock; follow maintenance schedules for completion of work; and perform routine building maintenance and repair at company locations.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair all rolling stock
  • Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on rolling stock and refer defects or needed repairs to supervisor
  • Maintain records of maintenance and repairs for rolling stock
  • Ensure proper completion, compilation, and retention of daily operating checklists for forklifts within company policies
  • Report any exceptions to completing daily operating checklists for forklifts to appropriate management
  • Repair and/or replace safety equipment, as necessary
  • Communicate maintenance, repairs, and tool replacements, that are needed to supervisor
  • Provide estimates for repairs to supervisor in advance of work being preformed
  • Communicate maintenance and repair schedules to location managers, as necessary
  • Demonstrate safe work practices
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment
  • Demonstrate excellence internal and external customer service
  • Relate to the public, vendors, employees, and customers in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner, appropriately responding to their requests
  • Demonstrate regular predictable attendance
  • Participate in ongoing safety training and safety committee meetings
  • Perform other tasks and duties as requested by supervisor

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position does not have supervisory responsibilities

Education And/Or Experience

  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Language Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rule, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

The Pay Range For This Role Is

22.94 - 28.04 USD per hour(Forklift Services)
