Responsibilities:
- Responsible in providing day to day operational services
- Ability to work flexible hours, which may include evening, weekends, and holidays
- Process new and refill patient prescription orders, preparation, and dispense medications
- Work closely with Pharmacy Technicians and Order Entry Technicians in the preparation and dispensing of medications
- Proficient in clinical interpretation; drug-drug, drug-disease, drug-food interaction and allergies
- Performs accurately and efficiently when dispensing medications
- Communicates with prescribers and other health care provider
- Ensures safety practices and procedures are followed
- Assist in the enforcement of all company and departmental policies and procedures
- Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations related to pharmacy practices
- Customer-Centered and strives to exceed customer expectations
Qualifications:
- B.S. or PharmD Degree in Pharmacy
- Must have current Pharmacist Licensure in PA in good standing
- 1 year’s recent experience in long term care (preferred), retail, or hospital pharmacy
- Experience and knowledge base of intravenous admixtures services preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with English as the primary language
- Must have strong customer service skills, time management skills, and ability to problem solve
