We are a busy pediatric office in Grandville, MI, seeking a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN to join our nursing staff for two days per week with the potential to pick up extra shifts for vacations. The ideal candidate will support a five-provider practice by assisting with patient care, administering immunizations, and helping coordinate referrals and lab testing within a fast-paced, family-focused environment. This position reports to the Nursing Manager and uses the Office Practicum electronic health record system.
Responsibilities
- Room patients efficiently and prepare for provider visits
- Administer immunizations according to pediatric protocols
- Coordinate specialist referrals and follow up as needed
- Perform lab testing and assist with specimen handling
- Provide pediatric patient care support with a focus on communication and comfort
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential
- Entry-level experience in medical assisting, preferably pediatric or office setting
- Knowledge of immunization techniques and pediatric care
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR), specifically Office Practicum
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong patient communication and team collaboration skills
- Effective time management and adaptability with variable patient volumes
