Senior Product Design Lead – Job Description

Location: Burbank, CA (Onsite Tuesday/Thursday)

Overview

The Senior Product Design Lead will drive the design of applications and platforms that streamline complex content licensing workflows—including rights management, deal management, forecasting, and planning. This role focuses on translating intricate business processes into intuitive, user-centered digital experiences that enable faster, data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Experience Design & Interaction (33%)

• Lead end-to-end UX/UI design using a Design Thinking approach.
• Create prototypes, user flows, and interaction models to validate concepts.
• Convert complex business logic into clear, intuitive interfaces for web-based tools.

Research & Insights (33%)

• Partner with research teams to conduct interviews, workshops, and usability testing.
• Synthesize research findings into patterns, themes, workflows, and user journeys.
• Translate insights into actionable design recommendations.

Collaboration & Facilitation (33%)

• Work closely with end users, product managers, analysts, and UI/UX peers to ensure designs translate into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to ensure final products meet user needs.
• Maintain design system consistency, accessibility, and cross-team alignment.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10 years applying Design Thinking and user-centric design methodologies.
• 10 years working within product-oriented, highly matrixed Agile teams.
• Strong ability to coach and mentor teams in best-practice design approaches.
• Proven experience translating research insights into intuitive product experiences.
• Experience designing data-heavy, workflow-driven, and task-centric interfaces.
• Comfortable operating independently with minimal direction.
• Able to navigate ambiguity and iterate quickly as requirements evolve.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust across functions and present complex insights clearly.
• Experience delivering products using the SAFe Agile framework.
• Must be based in Burbank and onsite Tuesday–Thursday.

Preferred Qualifications

• Design Thinking certification.
• Experience designing enterprise systems, software products, or internal tools.
• Background in media, entertainment, or sales planning domains.
• Experience in software design or development.
• Strong visual design portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product work.
