Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forman to lead a irrigation team in delivering high-quality care and Irrigation services. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to effectively manage projects from start to finish. As a Forman, you will oversee the daily operations of your crew, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently while maintaining safety standards and quality workmanship.
A Irrigation Foreman is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems. This includes leading a crew, planning and coordinating projects, and ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely. They also handle equipment and inventory management. Key responsibilities of an Irrigation Foreman typically include:
- Leading and Supervising: Directing and guiding a team of laborers, assigning tasks, and ensuring projects are completed on time and to high standards.
- Project Management: Planning, executing, and delivering irrigation projects, including overseeing repairs and installations.
- Technical Skills: Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing irrigation systems, including valves, electrical components, timers and the ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Equipment and Inventory: Managing company trucks, equipment, and tools, including their maintenance, cleanliness, and storage.
- Safety: Ensuring crew members are following safe work practices and operating equipment correctly.
- Communication: Communicating with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving issues with irrigation systems.
- Training: Providing on-site training to crew members on equipment operation and safety procedures.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
